AMERICAN FORK — Elvira Jorgensen Allen, 79, native of Lake View, died at the Salt Lake LDS Hospital Tuesday of a heart condition following surgery.

She was born at Lake View on Feb. 11, 1880 to Mads and Elvina Jorgensen. She married Frank Stewart Allen July 7, 1902 at Provo. He died in 1955. After her marriage she lived at Provo, Knightsville and Silver. Mrs. Allen City until 30 years ago when she and her husband purchased a farm at American Fork where she has since resided.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Stewart and Paul J. Allen of American Fork, Mrs. Harold (Ladelle) Potts and Mrs. Maurine DeWaal of Salt Lake City; two sisters, Zina Scott of Lake View and Mrs. Ellen Christensen of Provo; 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Berg Drawing Room at Provo. Friends may call at Anderson and Sons Mortuary Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at Berg Mortuary Friday prior to services. Interment will be in Provo City Cemetery.
