To all People to whome these presents shall come greeting know yea that I Robert Roath of Norwichin the county of New London in the Colony of Coneticutt,in New England for in the consideration of the naturall love.good will X fatherly affection.that I have & bare unto my trulywell beloved son Daniel Roath of the same Norwich,in the County& Colony affore sd. Wherewith I do acknowledge myself to be fully satisfied & contented Do by these presents aquitt exonerate & discharge him my sd. son Daniel Roath,his heirs executors Administrators assignes & every of them forever I have therefore & by these presents do fully freely & absolutely give waut alienate infeofe Couforine & Deliver from me & my heirs inunto my sd. son Daniel and to his heirs & assignes forever.And as so much of his portion of my estate,all my thirty two acres of land lying in two parcells on the southward side of the river against my house.Together with my Boggy meadow and the nine acres on the East side of sd.Meadow and four acres on the West side of sd. Meadow. Which is lying on the East side of Showtuckett river.in the bounds of sd.Norwich And all the above mentioned parcells of land are abutted and bounded as by my record in Norwich may fully appeare.I the sd.Robert Roath for & in the consideration affove sd. have given & granted the affore sd.parcells of land to my sd.son Daniel,with all the appeartenanced & priviledges thereunto belonging and all my right title & Intrest of & unto the sd.given granted premises & every part thereof.To have and to hold all the above mentioned parcells of land lying being & bounded as by my record may appeare unto my sd.sonDaniel and his heirs&assignes forever And Ithe sd. Robert Roath,for myself my heirs executors Administrators do Convey promise & Grant to & with my sd. son Daniel Roath his heirs & assigues Maner following that is to say that onthe day of the date hereof I the said Robert Roath am the true sole & lawfull owner of the sd. lands.In witness & for Confirmation whereof signed Robert Roath his mark witnessed by (Joseph Brshnell & Eleaser Jewitt)Robert Roath began splitting up his large estate between his three sons between 1701-1708 there is no date for his death but since his name didnt show up any more after this last land transfer to his beloved son Daniel it is assumed that he died not long after this point Robert Roath to Daniel Roath Aug.20th,1708 32 acres
