OVERSTREET, SR. Born June 9, 1923, to Brian and Veva Overstreet, Ray served in the US Navy, was a member of Masonic Compass Lodge 120, Ararat Shrine, Scottish Rite, and the "Save a Connie" organization. He retired from Trans World Airlines after 32 years of service. For the past six years, Ray had been a resident at the Pleasant Valley Manor Care Center. He passed June 29, 2005. He is survived by his four children, Ernest Leon Overstreet and Raymond Lee Overstreet, Jr., both of Kansas City, MO, Marie Denise Reynolds, Roswell, GA, and Sharon Louise Wieczorek, Ashland, OR. Two sons preceded him in death, Kenneth Lee Overstreet, in infancy, and Rev. Stephen Lee Overstreet. Ray is also survived by eight grandchildren, Angela Baker, Amy Dillard, Michelle Williams, Stephen Christopher Overstreet, Sherilyn Overstreet, Bryce and Garrett Layke Reynolds, and Keegan Wieczorek. He has six greatgrandchildren, Kaley and Cory Baker, Courtney, Zachary, and Joshua Dillard, and Madison Williams. Visitation will be held at Charter Funerals/Northland Chapel, 77 NE 72nd St., Kansas City, MO, Friday, July 1, 68 p.m., with a Masonic Service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Charter Funerals on Saturday, July 2 at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
