Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb 11 for Mrs Julia Elmira Owens Toney,
73, at her home in Monterey.
Mrs Toney moved from Cumberland county to Monterey 37 years ago. She has
been a member of the Freewill Baptist Church since an early age. She was
preceded in death by her husband and 3 sons.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs John Pettit, Monterey; a son, Charles W Toney,
Oak Ridge; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
