Sittler Siftings. Adam Andreas, a well to do retired farmer, after an illness of several days, died Friday evening at half past nine o'clock and was buried at Bensalems church yesterday. The funeral was largely attended. Up to the time of his illness, Mr. Andreas had very little of bodily ailments to complain of, but was hale and hearty, attending to his work in his grist mill. The railroad station being built on his land was named after him as well as the town where he resided. He is survived by his widow Flora Ann, nee Steigerwalt, one son Owen A. Andreas, Carolina, wife of Benjamin Haberman; Fiana, wife of W. D. Weaver, and Louisa, wife of E. R. Hill; fifteen grand children and one great grand child; a brother Tilghman Andreas and Sabina, wife of Jacob Behler, West Penn Township. He attained the age of 70 years, 2 months and 21 days.
Rev. W. H. Strauss and T. N. Reber were the officiating clergymen. The pall bearers were:Joseph Hoppes, Daniel Loch, Noah Kershner, Charles Fritzinger, Moses D. Rex and Wm. H. Reber.
