She was born October 5, 1952 in Lincoln, IL, the daughter of Albert and Dorothy Burt Goeken. On March 4, 1976 she married Ronald E. Kelly in Peoria, IL. He survives.
Patti was a 1970 graduate of Delavan Community High School in Delavan, IL. She was employed by the Quincy Public School District for 24 years. She was currently the administrative assistant to the business manager at the Board of Education Office. She previously worked as an administrative assistant in the Quincy High School Athletic Office. She attended Trinity Church. She was always concerned with the care and support of other cancer survivors. Patti was a very active member of the Madison Park Christian Church cancer group "God's Chicks and Two Dudes". She was also involved with various groups and committees at Blessing Cancer Center. She loved caring for her cats Mulligan and Murphy. Most of all, Patti enjoyed the special time she spent with her grandson, Cooper.
Survivors in addition to her husband include: a daughter, Kim Dinkheller and her husband Travis of Quincy; a grandson, Cooper Dinkheller of Quincy; a sister, Linda Rokey and her husband John of Eureka, IL; a brother, Jeffrey Goeken and his wife Jean of Bloomington, IL; 2 brothers-in-law, Steven Mangold of Delavan, IL, and Rev. Daniel Kelly of Wayne, NJ; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Susan Mangold.
Services: Monday, September 13, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. in Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Disseler officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
