In 1880 she lived with her parents and eight brothers and sisters on a farm in Toby Township, Clarion County, PA.

In 1900 she lived with her mother, two brothers, and a sister on a farm in West Franklin Township, Armstrong County, PA. Some of the family had moved there to take care of her aging grandfather, William Minteer, Jr., and had stayed after he and her father died.

In 1910 she and her mother and a brother and sister lived in a house on Main Street in Rimersburg, PA. Nancy was a seamstress for a private family, she was a public school teacher, and Chalford was a clerk in a shoe store.

In 1920 she and her husband lived in a house at 108 West Adams Avenue in Vandergrift, PA. They owned their home, with a mortgage. William was a foreman at the steel works.

In 1930 she and William and their adopted son lived in the same house, which was valued at $9000. They did have a radio. William was a steel worker in a steel mill.

In 1940 she and her son lived in a house on Route 68 near Maple Grove Road in Madison Township, Clarion County, PA.

In 1950 she lived in an apartment at 1628 Cook Street in Denver, CO. Her son and his wife and daughter lived in the apartment at 1626.

RIMERSBURG – Graveside services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Rimersburg cemetery for Mrs. Matilda Somerville Hosey, 88, native of Rimersburg, who died Thursday at Westminster, Colo. Rev. Albert Siemon, pastor of the Presbyterian Church here, officiated. Born Jan 6, 1879, she was the daughter of Downs and Eliza Minteer Somerville. She was married to William Hosey. He died in 1938. She is survived by: one son, Sheldon Hosey of Broomfield, Colo.; one brother, Marion Somerville of Texas and several nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements were in charge of Moore-Kline Funeral Home here.
