Delbert G. Ehlert, age 79 of Weyauwega, formerly of Scandinavia, died on Saturday Aug. 7, 2004 at Weyauwega.

BIRTH & PARENTS: Born in Shawano on Feb. 27, 1925, he was the son of the late George and Alvina (Carstedt) Ehlert.

EARLY YEARS: He had lived in Milwaukee and then Chicago until 1959, when he moved to Tigerton. He resided there until 1979, and lived in the Waupaca and Weyauwega areas since.

SURVIVORS: Delbert is survived by a sister, Betty (Elmer) Kowalski of Milwaukee, five brothers; George (Maxine) Ehlert of Fond du Lac, Donald Ehlert of Alsip, Ill., Sidney (Bernice) Ehlert of Woodridge, Ill., Robert (Linda) Ehlert of Tigerton, Myron Ehlert of Bakersfield, Calif., and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

PRECEDED BY: He was also preceded in death by a sister, Doris Timerson, and a brother, James Ehlert.

FUNERAL SERVICES AND BURIAL: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004 at the Swedberg Funeral Home, Shawano with Rev. Howard Buenting officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Shawano. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:30 am until the time of the services.
