AUDREY ALICE AVERY

Audrey Alice Avery, third child of James H. and Sarah T. Barker, was born Nov. 12, 1885 and died Oct. 12, 1964, at the age of 78 years and 11 months.


She grew to womanhood and attended public school and high school in Pawnee county. She also taught school for four years.


On Oct. 28, 1909, she was married to George F. Avery. To this union was born four children, all of whom survive. The children are: Mrs. Glen Binder, (Bernice) of Pawnee City, James K., of Visalia, Calif., Keith of Bakersfield, Calif., and Kermit of Littleton, Colo. There are also four grandchildren.


Mrs. Avery was a lifelong member of the Pawnee City Methodist church and for several years taught classes in its Sunday school.


Also surviving are one brother Claude A., and one sister, Mrs. Mabel Davis of Pawnee City, and a sister, Mrs. f. L. Bennett of Norman, Okla.


One brother, James H. Barker, of Bartlesville, Okla., died in July of 1963.


The family of Mrs. Avery rejoices that they had their loved one for so many years.


Services were held Oct. 14 at the Methodist church with Rev. r. H. Lingard officiating. Interment was in the Pawnee City cemetery.
