Edna Lucille Gregory, age 87, of Linn passed away Friday, September 10, 2010, at Autumn Meadows Skilled Facility in Linn.
Edna was born July 14, 1923, in Palmyra, a daughter to the late Edward and Clara (Reddick) Shear.
On May 3, 1941, she was united in marriage to Edward Allie Gregory in Hannibal, MO. He preceded her in death on August 29, 2006. .
Edna was a member of St. George Catholic Church in Linn. She was a homemaker and mother.
She enjoyed cooking especially for her family, sewing and taking care of her pet cockatiel, Poopsie.
Edna is survived by: two daughters, Sandra L. Reichart and her husband Joseph of Linn, and Karen Sue Hinkle of Holts Summit; one sister, Mildred Lane of Hannibal; 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by: two brothers, Herbert and Ernest Shear; two sisters, Helen Mae Miller and Lois Tewell; and one son-in-law, Don Hinkle.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm, Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at Morton Chapel in Linn.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, September 16, 2010, at St. George Church with Fr. I.C. Medina as the celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. George Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
