Liberty – On Sept. 8, 2010 the world lost a very special lady. Elaine L. Mackey, beloved wife of John W. Mackey, passed away unexpectedly from cardiac arrest.
Elaine was born August 3, 1951, to Ruben David and Loa Mae Graham Armstrong in Ogden, Utah. She married the love of her life, John, on July 15, 1972. Shortly thereafter they moved to Liberty, Utah where she spent many wonderful years and made lasting memories and friendships.
She had one son, John, who was the joy of her life; a daughter-in-law, Nydia; and four beautiful grandchildren, Rosendo, Vanessa, Sierra and Alley, who she loved dearly.
Elaine will best be remembered for her genuine love of people. Friends, family and all who had the blessing of being in her life experienced this love.

She is survived by her husband, John (Mac); mother, Loa Armstrong; siblings, Jerry Armstrong, Kathy King, Jeanene Beistline, Gary (fiance Cathy) Armstrong, Douglas (Pam) Armstrong, Cheryl (Russ) Hale, Russ (Wendy) Armstrong, Janet (Harvey) Twitchell. Many nieces; nephews who will miss her dearly.
Her only son, John preceded her in death, as well as her sister, Glenda, and father, Ruben.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at the Liberty 1st Ward, 4150 No. 3000 E., Liberty, Utah. Friends may call on September 13th at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. from 6 to 8 pm and at the church prior to the service from 10 to 10:45 am.
Interment in the Liberty Cemetery.
