Painter. Her specialty was still life and portraiture. She was one of the last of the Peale Family of painters of Philadelphia to professionally paint these subjects. Her first lessons were from her Uncle Rembrandt Peale. She also studied in Philadelphia with Thomas Sully. Smithsonian American Art Museum, Sheldon Museum of Art, Westmoreland Museum of American Art, are only a few of the museums where her work can be seen today.
