Stephen Craig Balmer, age 59, passed away September 8, 2010 in Salt Lake City, Utah, with his family by his side.
He was born July 13, 1951 in Henderson, Nevada, to Richard James and Barbara Irene Anderson Balmer. He married Kathy Lou Piper in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Stephen graduated from high school in 1969, and was proud to serve in the Marines during the Vietnam War. He was employed by American Roofing in Salt Lake City for 14 years. He enjoyed Nascar and coin collecting, and loved gardening.
Stephen is survived by his son, James (Amber) Balmer; his precious granddaughter, Shy-Ann; and his sister, Carol (Keith) Vier.
He was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Kathy Lou Balmer.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
