Mrs. John Curlett, of Whealton, this county, accidently shot herself with a pistol Thursday afternoon of last week while attempting to polish the handle on her dress. The bullet entered her abdomen and passed through her body. Her husband was away from home at the time, teaching the Whealton school. After the best attention love and money could provide she passed away on Wednesday night. The funeral will be at Norwood Baptist Church this (Friday) afternoon. The whole county has been thrilled by the accident and the untimely death of this young matron.
