Harry was born in Minsk Russia on November 21, 1888. He arrived in America on December 25, 1900 with his mother Sarah, his brother Abraham (A.J.) and his sister Lillian. His Father Max had come to America in 1896 and worked for four years to earn money for their passage. Harry volunteered for Navy service during WWI and was a ship's cook in the USNRF (U.S. Naval Reserve Forces)and received an honorable discharge after the war. After the war he worked as a clerk in a furniture store to help support his brother Ben and sister Lillian. He died in 1942 in Miami, FL and was buried with his parents and elder brother in Riverside Cemetery, Saddle Brook, NJ. He was 54.
