James Arthur Flynn was born November 6, 1921, in Forest City Township to Thomas J. and Bridget A. Coyle Flynn. He graduated from Litchfield High School in 1938 and served in the Army Infantry during WWII. After his military service he attended the University of Minnesota where he graduated in 1949 with a degree in Pharmacy. James lived in Minneapolis for over 50 years, where he was a Pharmacist at the Veterans Hospital until he retired. In 2002 he returned to Litchfield, and lived at Augustana Home for a few years before moving into Emmanuel Home. He was a member of St. Alberts Parish in Minneapolis. James traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, and reading. James was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Bridget, sister Margaret Lewis, and brother John. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Richard Lewis, and many nieces and nephews for whom uncle Jim was always there.
