Dac, was a military working dog with the 460th Security Forces Squadron.
He was put to sleep on February 24, 2007 due to a deteriorating medical condition.
A memorial service was held for him at the base Chapel. Seventy five people were in attendence including members of the Aurora and Denver Police Departments, Department of Homeland Security, Peterson Air Force Base, The US Air Force Academy, and Fort Carson.
Dac was accepted into the K-9 Program June 13, 2000 and served his country from April 2001 until his passing.
