WILLIAM DAVID HEUETT, was a farmer, logger and early pioneer to Idaho about 1898, when the family moved from Missouri to the Nez Perce reservation in Idaho to file homesteads. Dave and his first wife, Addie filed a homestead in Lewis County, west of the present town of Craigmont in a section called Cold Springs. When his first wife died in 1911, her sister, Jessie came west to care for their 4 children. Jessie and Dave were married and had only one child, Nettie Heuett Adams. They moved to the Curlew area in about 1930 or before. Sons were Charles Elmer Heuett and Paul Heuett, daughters were Avis Heuett Lindsey and Minnie Belle Heuett Meyer Johnson.
