Leroy Jack McVaigh, 57, of Olney, died at Richland Memorial Hospital Monday, June 24, 1991 at 6:06 p.m.
The body will be cremated and memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bible Fellowship Church in Olney with Pastor Jim Gibson officiating.
Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
Mr. McVaigh was born Aug. 2, 1933 in Olney, the son of Clarence and Stella (Tucker) McVaigh. He married Mary Alice Rule July 23, 1955.
Mr. McVaigh worked for General Oil Field Equipment for several years but most recently was an equipment operator for Olney Township Road Division. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and a member of Olney V.V.W.
Mr. McVaigh is survived by his wife, Mary Alice McVaigh, Olney; one son, Daniel McVaigh and his wife, Ida May, of Dundas; four sisters, Gladys Weiss and Ruth Eckel of Olney, Myrl Hasler of Paxton, Maxine Costello of Hannibal, Mo.; one grandson, Zachary Austin; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. McVaigh was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Harold Dean and one infant brother, Rex.
(Obit refers to infant brother Rex preceding him in death. I found a Roy R. on the 1910 census 2 years old but not on the 1920 census. I feel they just have the name wrong, or maybe it was Roy Rex McVaigh.)
