Mrs. Patricia Elaine Worthy, age 64, passed away Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at Brightmoor Nursing Center.
Mrs. Worthy was born Dec. 12, 1944, in Spalding County, to the late Joseph Claude Dearing and Mrs. Vera Louise Lewis Dearing. She was formerly employed with J.C. Penney as a customer service representative. Mrs. Worthy was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Mrs. Worthy is survived by her husband, Donald Worthy, of Griffin; children, Christal and Jeff Kelly, Kelly and Randy Busbin, all of Griffin and Daniel Worthy, of South Carolina; grandchildren; Christopher Worthy, Cameron Yancey, Taylor Yancey, Christian Yancey, Vicki Busbin, Joseph Busbin, Kiley Worthy, Lexy Worthy, Breanna Worthy and Andrew Worthy; mother, Vera Louise Lewis Dearing; brothers and sister-in-law, Jackie Lee Dearing and Jimmy and Yolanda Dearing; sister-in-law, Pamela Williams; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Patricia Worthy will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan, 5, 2009, in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Dr. Mark Sellers and the Rev. Charles Killingsworth will officiate. Interment will follow in the Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, at the funeral home.
