She received her education in the public school here, graduating with the class of 1890.
She taught in the rural schools for several years before accepting a position as teacher in the school in Waucoma, where she taught for two years.

June 29, 1895, she was united in marriage to Dr. H.H. Belding. A member of various organizations she was a worker in the American Legion Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was preceded in death by her son, LaVerne, who died in the World war, her father and mother, and one sister.
