Lynda Owens Bishop, 56, died September 5, 2010, at the home. A native of Laurens County, daughter of the late Arch and Callie B. Moore Owens, she was the former owner and operator of Lynda's Classic Cleaning and a member of Dependent Baptist Church, Inman. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Surviving are her husband, Clifford Ricky Bishop of the home; two daughters and son-in-law, Cindy and Tommy Bishop of Boiling Springs and Dana High of Wellford; a son and daughter-in-law, Danny Kimbrough, Jr. and Christina of Wellford; three brothers, Gerald Thackston of Woodruff, David Owens of Greenville, and Randy Owens of Ft. Inn; four sisters, Aurelia Finch of Ft. Inn, Shirley Burrell of Simpsonville, Doris Stewart of Ft. Inn, and Judy Stewart of Ft. Inn; four grandchildren, Courtney Bishop, Joshua Kimbrough, Zackary Staggs, and Kyle Bishop; and her pet dog, Kirby Bishop. Mrs. Bishop was predeceased by one brother, Devoy Thackston.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, September 9, 2010, at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Dr. Joe Geddes and Mr. Kevin Burrell. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
