QUINLAN - Valton Romine, 63, of Quinlan, died Tuesday night at his home.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in LyBrand Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Lee Wells and Olen Pumphrey officiating. Burial will be in Hooker Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 15, 1918 in Arbala, Texas to Willie and Vera Barrett Romine. He was married July 6, 1940 to Cleta Merrill Barrow. Mr. Romine was employed as a bus driver and mechanic for the Quinlan Independent School District. He was a Baptist and a member of Shiloh Masonic Lodge No. 307 in Lone Oak.
Surviving are his wife of Quinlan; son, Larry Don Romine of Garland; daughter, Linda Mitchell of Quinlan; sisters, Mrs. Leroy Wallace of Florida, Lorene Dart of Michigan and Bobby Clenk of Houston; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Troy Neal, Virgil Hollman, Pete Gunter, Mike Barrow, Lennis Patterson and Johnny Neal.
LyBrand Funeral Home of Quinlan is in charge of arrangements.
