Our loving husband, father and grandfather, George Whitney Bradbury, 86, a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, returned to his Heavenly Father peacefully on July 3, 2002 in Sandy, Utah. He was born March 28, 1916 in Sandy, Utah to William Grant Pennal and Emily Berry Bradbury. Married Naomi Crystal on Jan. 31, 1940 in Provo, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He graduated with honors from Jordan High School in 1934. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. Retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1983. Served as American Legion Post Commander for 12 years, and was one of the founders of the Sandy Museum. Survived by his loving and caring wife, Naomi; three sons, Michael W. (Darlene), George Alan (Florence), David C. (Tami); and daughter, Susan C. (Joseph Arden) Obray; 14 grandchildren and four great-grand-children. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 8, at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Jordan 1st Ward Chapel, 8950 South 400 East, Sandy. Friends may call Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, and Monday 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
