Accident Victim. Along with her mother, she died in the sinking of the steamship "La Bourgoyne." The inscription on her monument, 105 La. 39, refers to the legal case which settled her estate; the question was, without witnesses, whether she or her mother perished first in the sinking. It was decided that Angele, being younger and able to swim, lived longer than her mother.
