Bessie B. Gehman, 89,
lived in Lower Pottsgrove

Bessie B. (Bernhart) Gehman, 89, of Sanatoga Manor Nursing Home, Lower Pottsgrove, formerly of Congo-Niantic Road, Barto, widow of Horace J. Gehman, died Thursday at Sanatoga Manor Nursing Home, where she was a resident for three years.

Born in Douglass (Mont.), she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Taglieber) Bernhart.

Mrs. Gehman was a homemaker. She was a member of Shepherd of the Hills United Church of Christ.

Surviving are a son, Paul L. Gehman, Frederick; a brother, Paul Bernhart, Delaware; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, 111 N. Reading Ave., Boyertown, with the Rev. Vernon Stoop, Jr., pastor of Good Shepherd of the Hills UCC, officiating.

Burial will be in Christ Union Cemetery, Douglass (Mont.). There will be a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
