Note: Obituary said the death was a "suicide" Charley married Mae Barnes in 1895

Charles' father was John McKinley (Mack) Dodd, (died about 1909) one-time Sheriff of Ripley County, Missouri. His mother was Margaret F Wilson (died 1929). Paternal grandparents were Jason Dodd (killed in the Civil War 1863) and Mary McDonald (died 1849).
