Mary Louella McDaniels, 96, of Waco, passed away Monday, Sept. 6, 2010. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, at Rosemound Cemetery with the Rev. Amos Humphries officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey.
Mary was born in Gholson, Texas, to the late Van and Ida German. She and Ollie McDaniels were married June 28, 1934. Mary worked and retired from the department of Food Services at the Waco State Home (The Waco Center for Youth) after 20 years of service. She was a long time member of North Waco Baptist Church.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ollie Elliot McDaniels; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth McDaniels; a son, Wyndell Royce McDaniels; three sisters; and two brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Rogers, of Waco; son, Stanley McDaniels and wife, Lana, of Riesel; daughter-in-law, Wanda McDaniels, of Waco; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Wright, of Rancho Cordova, Calif.; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
