GORE SPRINGS - Sherry Spencer McKinney, 51, died Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at her home. She was born Dec. 9, 1954, in Pekin, Ill. She was a nurse and a member of the Thorn Church of God.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Southern Funeral Chapel in Houston with Bro. Frank Samples officiating. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.

Survivors include her mother, Lois Ailene Spencer of Okolona; two sons, Michael Wade Pettit of Oxford and Bradley Gene McKinney of Guntown; four sisters, Debra Lynn Wilson of Houston, Betty Armstrong of Okolona, Tammy Renee Dillard of Pontotoc and Brenda Lois Goodson of Gore Springs; one brother, Gary William Spencer of Okolona; four grandchildren, Victoria Lynn McKinney and James Benjamin Bradley McKinney, both of Guntown, Spencer Delaine Pettit of Oxford and Nathan Heath Bardo of Coffeeville; a special friend, Carl Hall of Gore Springs.

She was preceded in death by her father, George William Spencer, and a brother, Dennis Lloyd Spencer.

Pallbearers will be her nephews: Dennis Spencer, Chris Spencer, Shane Webster, Eric Wilson, Jason Spencer and C.J. Dillard.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
