Services at Vaiden for Mrs. Welch
Funeral Services for Mrs. Estelle Brooks Welch were held March 21 at 2 p.m. at Vaiden Methodist Church, Revs. R.N. Wade & Jack Nabors officicating. Burial was in Vaiden Cemetery. Winona Funeral Home in charge of arrangement.
Mrs. Welch died March 20 at her residence at Vaiden, apparently from a heart attack. She was 60 years old. A native of Attala County, she was a member of Vaiden Methodist Church.
Survivors are her husband W.C. Welch, Vaiden; her father, R.B. Brooks, Ethel; 11 children, Barbara Sullivan, Wallace Welch, Cecil Welch, Paul Welch, Robert Welch Ray Welch & Jimmy Welch all of Vaiden; Wayne Welch, Jackson; Billie Welch, U.S. Army; Janie Tollison, Ft. Rucker, Ala.; & Mary Sampley, Winona. Also 4 brothers, M.L. Brooks & Claude Ray both of Vicksburg; R.L Ray, Va.; & James Brooks, Donaldsonville, Texas; 3 sisters, Mrs. Carol Cobb & Mrs. Katherine Vitanza, both of Houston, Texas & Mrs. Pauline Blaylock, Calif; she had 23 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were her sons.
