Samuel Cony died in 1779, and his widow Susanna married second to Capt. James Howard on 1 Jan. 1781 in Hallowell, Kennebec Co., ME. They had two children: Isabella "Ibbey" Howard (1781-1787); and James Jr. (linked below).
James Howard Sr. died in 1787, and widow Susanna married third to William Brooks in June 1788 in Hallowell. They had one daughter: Eliza Brooks (1789-1864), who married John H. Hartwell.
