Frankston, Feb. 8 - John S. Brasher, 71, died at 8 a.m. Friday at his home, 3 miles west of here, after several days illness of flu and pneumonia. In his 30 years' residence in this section, he has been engaged in the saw mill and farming professions respectively.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Marvin Cely, with the Rev. R. B. Moon, pastor of the local Methodist Church, in charge. Interment followed in the City Cemetery with South-Hassell of Palestine attending arrangements.
He is survived by his widow; three daughters, Mrs. J. G. Kilgore of Wichita Falls, Mrs. J. M. Cely of Frankston, and Mrs. Trudie Bruton of Longview; two sons, D. L. Brasher of Wichita Falls and R. G. Brasher of Frankston; three step-children, Mrs. M. A. Cook of Frankston, Jerome Kilgore of Wichita Falls and J. H. Kilgore of Needles, Calif.; and one brother, J. H. Brasher of Frankston.
