Bentonville: William L. "Bill" Baker ,90, of Bentonville, passed away on Saturday September 4, 2010 at the Glen Oaks Health Campus in New Castle.

He was born on April 2, 1920 in Bentonville, IN the son of the late Emery and Carrie (Roots) Baker.

Bill was a 1938 graduate of Bentonville High School and served his country in the Army Air Corp. during World War II. He was a member of the Bentonville Christian Church and a 40 year member of the Bentonville Volunteer Fire Dept. Surviving relatives include; his wife of 57 years, Faye (Walters) Baker married on August 9, 1953 in Bentonville, IN. son; Steve (Vicki) Baker of Spiceland, 2 granddaughters; Amanda (David) Noah of Greensburg and Stephanie Baker of Lafayette, 1 great grand son; Brennan Noah and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by, parents, 3 brothers; John, Carrol and Albert Baker, 3 sisters, Jessie, Catherine and Mary Baker.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday September 8, 2010 at the Bentonville Christian Church in Bentonville, with Pastor John Heflin to officate the service.

Burial to follow in the Bentonville Cemetery with full military honors.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m on Tuesday September 7, 2010 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home in Dublin.
