EUREKA -- Alvin J. Schrock, 86, of 505 Valley Court, Eureka, formerly of Congerville, died at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 1995, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Born Oct. 1, 1909, in Congerville to Jonathan and Naomi Gerber Schrock, he married Irene Rassi on June 16, 1940, in Milford, Ind. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Allen and Steven, both of Congerville; one brother, Jesse of Peoria; one sister, Mae of Eureka; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Two grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

He was co-owner of Schrock Seed Co. from 1938 to 1964. He was a member of Congerville Apostolic Christian Church, where services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday. The church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Otto-Argo Funeral Home in Eureka and one hour before services at the church. Burial will be in Congerville-Goodfield Apostolic Christian Cemetery in rural Congerville.
