Mary Anna Burrows was the daughter of George Burrows and Dinah. Her parents George and Dinah had emigrated from England in 1969. In 1870 they were in DeWitt, Onondaga, New York where Mary Anna was probably born. She had one older brother Harry Frederick who was born in England, and one younger brother born in New York.
She married William H Gillett as his second wife, the son of Horace Gillett and Clarinda Winchell, about 1900 in Syracuse. Horace had one daughter Florence from his previous marriage. His previous wife had died in 1897.
The couple lived at first with her parents in Syracuse with their daughter Florence. They lived in Syracuse until they moved to Seneca Falls, Seneca, New York by 1919. Their daughter Florence married Lawrence Faulds there in 1921.
Later they lived in Milo, Yates, New York, and Fairmont, Onondaga, New York.
William Gillett and Anna Mary are buried together in this cemetery.
