Aganetha S. Harder was born May 30, 1911, in Mountain Lake Township the daughter of Peter P. and Margaretha (Sawatzky) Harder. She was baptized December 2, 1928, by Rev. John C. Kauffman. Aganetha was united in marriage to Henry M. Harder on June 19, 1930, in Lostwood, ND. She was active at First Mennonite Church in Mountain Lake where she taught Sunday School and was very involved with the Oakleaf Mission Society. She helped fold church bulletins for many years - even after she resided at Good Samaritan Village. Aganetha was supportive in her husband's role in church and conference work by keeping their farm near Butterfield running smoothly. She worked at the Mountain Lake Hospital for several years where she cared for mothers and their newborn babies. Aganetha enjoyed handiwork and making quilts - she began quilting at the age of 70 - and gardening, especially flowers. She will always be remembered for being the "Prayer Warrior" for her family.

Aganetha S. Harder died Friday, September 3, 2010, at Good Samaritan Village in Mountain Lake at the age of 99 years.

She is survived by children - Edna (Eldon) Andres, Marjorie (John) Baerg, and Leroy (Marlene) Harder; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Henry M. Harder; son Henry Alan Harder; daughter Sylvia (Kenneth) Chaika; and great-grandson Cliffton Montgomery.
