Response to suit filed September, 1903; appears case went on to the Supreme
Court
On the ground that the horse driven by G.O.Krueger, who was killed at
Reedsville
in a runaway accident last year caused by a dog belonging to Reinhardt
Koening,
was not a safe driver, a jury in circuit court exonerated the defendant
last
Thursday on every count made by the prosecutor, after deliberating for
six hours.
The jury held that the dog had not attacked the horse and that
consequently the
dog did not cause the runaway. Also that the horse “was not” a safe one
to drive.
