Hathel Adams, retired farmer of the Adams Chapel community, died Wednesday night at the Volunteer General Hospital where he had been a patient one week. He was 78.
Mr. Adams was a member of the Adams Chapel Baptist Church where services were held Thursday by Rev. Joe Barber and Rev. Pat Kough. Burial was in East Side cemetery with Anderson Funeral Home in charge.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lillie Lackey Adams; two sons, Ralph Adams, Chicago and Robert Adams, Tampa, Fla., one brother, H.A. Adams, of Rt. 1, Dresden.
