DANFORTH DIXON, AGED 72, DIES
Danforth D Dixon, 72, resident of the town of Pamelia, died at 8.30 this morning in Noble Foundation hospital, Alexandria Bay. where he had been a patient for a week He had been in failing health the past year.
The body was removed to the Northam & Fox funeral home, Watertown, and on Friday will be taken to the Dixon home where funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 ....Rev. Allan Moore, retired Methodist minister, Theresa, will officiate. Burial will be in North Watertown cemetery.
Besides his wife, the former Miss Katie Augsbury, Mr. Dixon is survived by one son. Carl E Dixon, Pamelia; four sisters, Mrs. Charles (Nellie) Getman, Watertown, Mrs Nina Garlough. Buffalo, Miss Edith Dixon, Alexandria Bay, and Mrs. Excard (Florence) Wagoner, Alexandria Bay and one brother, John Dixon. Fort Edward.
Mr. Dixon was born on Wolfe
Island, Canada, on Aug 31. 1872.

Myers Dixon. As a young man.
he worked in the paper mills at
Piercefield, beng employed there
for six years, 1889-1893. With
the exception of that period, he
had been a resident of the town
of Pamelia for 60 years.
Mr. Dixon married Miss Kate Augsbury of the town of Pamelia on May 22, 1901, in Watertown.
He had been a member of the Evans Mills 1. O. O. F. for 50 years and of the Evans Mills Masonic lodge for 45 years.
