DWIGHT JOHNSON DIES AFTER LONG ILLINESS
Funeral Services Held Wednesday With Burial at Six Corners.
"Dwight S. Johson, aged 67, well known retired farmer, died Sunday night about 11:30 at his home 400 South Maple street. He had been in ill health for several yars, but had only been bedfast for the past week.
Mr Johson was born in Milford township, Defiance county, on December 20, 1877, and was a son of Sumner and Mary Farnsworth Johnson. He grew to manhood in the vicinity of his birth, and on August 9, 1902, he was untied in marriage with Nellie Steel of Hicksville.
They went to housekeeping on the farm where Mr. Johson was born, and in 1911, they moved to a nearby farm in Hicksville township, where they resided until coming to Hicksville in 1935.
Surviving him are the wife; three daughters, Mrs. Helen McFeters of Hicksville, Mrs. Frances McClellan of Montgomery, Mich., and Mrs. Marie Stabb of Detroit; and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 pm Wednesday at the Perkins and Reeb funeral home. Rev. Cleo C. Roth, pastor of the United Brethren church, officiated. Burial was in Six Corners cemetery."
