PIGGOTT — Clarence Mack, 78, of Piggott passed away Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010.

Survivors include his wife, Ella Jean Mack; children, Michael Mack and wife Melba, Cathy Eldridge and husband Steve, Debbie Pollard and husband Terry, Kim Drees and husband Scott, and Scott Parton; grandchildren, Mason Mack, Lori Benson, Brian Eldridge, Kris Pollard, Phil Pollard and Sydney Morgan; and five great-grandchildren.

Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Mike Book officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery at Greenway.

Visitation is at 6 tonight.

Clarence Duren Mack, 78, of Piggott, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2010, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

He was born May 5, 1932, in Greenway, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Claude and Edna Duren Mack.

Clarence began his first trucking company when he was 18 years old. He has owned Mack Trucking in Piggott, Arkansas, for 60 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Melissa Ann Mack; and sister, Carolyn Sue Starling.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ella Jean Mack; five children: Michael Mack and wife Melba of Piggott, Arkansas, Cathy Eldridge and husband Steve of Newport, Arkansas, Debbie Pollard and husband Terry of Piggott, Arkansas, Kim Drees and husband Scott of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Scott Parton of Sherwood, Arkansas; six grandchildren: Mason Mack and wife Ashley, Lori Benson and husband Kevin, Brian Eldridge and wife Valerie, Kris Pollard and wife Kee, Phil Pollard and wife Brandi, and Sydney Morgan; five great-grandchildren: Madden Mack, Autumn Eldridge, Tayhlor Archer, Sierra Pollard, Summer Pollard, and Jayce Pollard; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Book officiating. Burial is in Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Gary Parker, Alden James, Danny Settlemoir, Gary Howell, Darrell Galyean, Jim Nichols, Kerry Turner, and Hal French. Visitation is Monday at 6:00 p.m.
