Former Caney resident Florence E. Johnson-Fultz, 84, Altamont, Kan., died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000, at the Arkhaven at Altamont where she had resided for several years.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 7, 2000, at Sunnyside Cemetery in Caney with Rev. Dan Carr officiating under the direction of the Bath Funeral Home of Altamont.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Senior Citizen Center of Altamont and may be left or mailed to the funeral home at Box 325, Altamont, Kan. 67330.
Florence Johnson-Fultz was born Jan. 4, 1916 to Andrew Bruce and Zura Rebecca (Fultz) Cochrane of Caney, Kan. She grew up in the Caney area moving to Altamont in 1977.
She married Carl Johnson on Oct. 15, 1938, at Independence. He preceded his wife in death in July 1976.
She married Herbert Fultz on Nov. 5, 1979 at Miami, Okla., and he died Dec. 1, 1982.
She entered Arkhaven in March 1990. She attended the First Baptist Church of Altamont.
Survivors include one daughter, Florene Gish, Tampa, Fla.; one brother, Raymond Cochrane, Bartlesville, Okla.; one sister, Frances Carr, Caney; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Cochrane.
