Maurer, Anna Clara, daughter of John L. and Barbara (Roth) Stauffer, was born at Milford, Neb., Feb. 21, 1889; died at Sherwood Park, Alta., Dec. 25, 1980; aged 81 y. On Oct. 20, 1912, she was married to David E. Maurer, who died on Nov. 1, 1966. Surviving are one son (John), 5 daughters (Lorene-Mrs. William Wideman, Mildred-Mrs. Gordon Buschert, Freda-Mrs. Paul Voegtlin, Mrs. Erma Mast, and Edna-Mrs. Neil Good), 22 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 sisters. She was a member of Salem Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Dec. 29, in charge of Carl Hansen; interment in Salem Church Cemetery.
