Johnny Lowell Howe, 65, died Saturday evening September 4, 2010 in the Sabine County Hospital, Hemphill, Texas, after a sudden illness.

He was born in Corpus Christi to Lowell and Margie Nell Hemphill Howe. Johnny moved to the Fairmount Community near Hemphill after retirement three years ago. He was a former resident of Groves and worked as a senior designer for Englobal in the Huntsman Refinery. He was a member of Pipefitters Local 195 and attended the Fairdale Baptist Church.

Johnny is survived by his mother, Margie Nell Howe of Groves, Texas his wife Patricia Howe of Fairmount, his son Britt Lowell Howe of Austin, Texas, his daughter Kimberly Kay Nicholson of Groves and four grandchildren; Gunnar, Colt, Madelyn and Kendall. He is also survived by two brothers, Rocky Glenn and William Henry Howe both of Groves, and two sisters, Brenda Dale Willie of Willis, Texas, and Libby Ann Smith of Groves.

Visitation will be from 4:30 pm until 8pm, Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am, Wednesday, September 8, 2010, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery near Hemphill.

Services are under the direction of Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill Texas.
