After an illness of three weeks, Mrs. Jane Thiel, a resident of this community for 60 years, died at her home in Elkland township at the age of 87 years. The former Miss Jane Pratt was born Sept. 2, 1858, at Burville, St. Clair county.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mattie Aschneller and Mrs. Electa Aschneller, both of Saginaw, and Mrs. Ella Dort of Bay City; three sons, Frank Russell of Toledo, O., Chas. Russell of Saginaw, and Geo. Russell of Cass City; a brother, Joshua Pratt, of Bannister, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Electa Kivel, of Silverwood; 21 grandchildren; and 41 great grand grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Little funeral home Saturday afternoon with Rev. M. R. Vender officiating. Burial was in Elkland cemetery.
