Mr. Adams died Friday, Sept. 3, in a Temple hospital.
He was born on July 19, 1921, to Thomas Alvin and Lillie Myrtle Vaden Adams in The Grove. He was a longtime resident of Bell County. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. On Dec. 15, 1939, he married Zelma Aline Barnes in Junction. He owned and operated Adams Trucking Company for more than 50 years. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Salado.
Survivors include his wife of Salado; a son, Jerry Adams of Salado; a daughter, Peggy Wilson of Salado; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Victory Baptist Church, 13295 FM 2843, Salado, 76571; or to Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame, P.O. Box 104, Walnut Springs, Texas 76990; or to the charity of your choice.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
