MISS HATTIE HIRAM DIES THIS MORNING
Miss Maliakamalu Kaomeamea Kahaulehale Hattie Hiram died just before 1:30 this morning. She was taken ill only on Saturday evening.
Miss Hiram was born at Olaa on November 23, 1852. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Clement Cromwell, and a granddaughter, Keaiokalani Cromwell, and one brother, Solomon Aalamanu Hiram, the Hawaiian singer. Another brother was at one time coachman for King Kalakaua. Miss Hiram was prominent in the work of the Catholic church and always identified with any enterprise to raise funds for charitable purposes. The funeral services will be held at the Catholic cathedral at 3 o'clock this afternoon.~The Hawaiian Gazette, November 7, 1905, p. 5.
