Howard "Marvin" Albertson , 91, a resident of Chillicothe, Mo., died Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Mo.
Marvin was born July 16, 1919 near Wheeling, Mo., the son of Weber and Ruth (Collis) Albertson . On Aug. 3, 1942 he married Mary Kathryn Holcer in Kansas City, Mo. She preceded him in death on Jan. 30, 2000. On Nov. 29, 2003 he married Wilma L. Littrell Lisby in Wheeling, Mo.
He graduated from Wheeling High School in 1937 and served in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked as a farmer and lived his whole life in the Wheeling area.
He is survived by his wife Wilma Albertson , Wheeling, Mo.; son, Terry Albertson and wife Lesa, Wheeling, Mo.; daughters, Diane McKiddy and husband Clifford, Chillicothe, Mo., and Teresa Albertson , Sedalia, Mo.; stepsons, Dennis Littrell, Lawson, Mo., and David Littrell and wife Robin, Hardin, Mo.; stepdaughter, Pam Chenowith and husband John, Overland Park, Kan.; brother, Wayne Albertson and wife Pauline, Wheeling, Mo.; eight grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Mary Albertson ; daughter, Dolores Thorne; brother, Warren Albertson ; and sister, Helen Lane.
Graveside funeral services were held at Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Mo., on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 11 a.m.
