Hazel Haley Miller, 94, of Zion, Arkansas died Monday, May 17, 2010 at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
She was born September 15, 1915 in Evening Shade, Arkansas the daughter of A.C. Haley and Amanda Ethel Taylor Haley.
She worked on the family cattle farm and enjoyed fishing and gardening and was an avid quilter. She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Zion.
She is survived by two daughters, Alice Vest and husband, J.W. of Zion and Jean Martin and husband, Norman of Batesville; one brother, Earl C. Haley of Evening Shade; four granddaughters, Vicki Jones of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Deborah Wamock of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Ruthie Sheffield and husband, Bobby of Zion, Rachel Farley and husband, Jason of Zion; two grandsons, Steve Martin and wife, Diana of Eureka, Missouri, Jimmy Vest and wife, Ruth of Kettering, Ohio; two step-granddaughters, Katherine Vest of Mountain Home, Marcia Bragg and husband, Dennis of Bryant, Arkansas; one step-grandson, David Vest of Iraq; thirteen great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; twelve step-great-great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, T.O. Miller and wife, Rachel of Bryant; and one sister-in-law, Lavada Phillips of Zion.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delbert Miller, five sisters, five brothers, one great-grandson, Corey Masson; one step-grandson, De Wayne Vest; one stillborn stepgreat-grandson, Christopher Hutchins.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m, Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Zion officiated by Bro. Boyce Gail Johnson.
Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery in Zion under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.
Pallbearers are Sam Beach, Jimmy Vest, Bob Sheffield, John Allen Engelhardt, Delbert Engelhardt, Steve Martin, Jeff Jones, and Lonnie L. Haley. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Robert Walton.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 18, 2010.
