Death at his home in Lyons, May 3rd, 1906, James O. Allen age 72 years. Deceased was born at Bristol, N.Y., in 1834, coming to Muir in 1873, where he was engaged in livery business for many years.
During his last illness, he was cheerfull and patient until the end.
Besides the widow, he leaves a sister, Mrs. Jackson of North Plains and three children Mrs. Bert Weed, Geo. Allen of Lyons, Horace Allen of Canandaigue, N.Y., also one stepson, Fred Clements.
Funeral was held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bert Weed, Monday afternoon. Interment was in North Plains Cemetery
